- real estate and real property law in connection with property development; and

About the Principal
Before becoming a lawyer, Andrew Valente graduated as Bachelor of Building Construction Management (BBCM) and worked over a period spanning close to a decade in various property development and construction-related roles in Australia and the UK. Andrew worked on residential, commercial and industrial projects, in the public and private sectors. The roles included contract administrator, quantity surveyor, construction manager, development manager, project manager – contractor and client side – and commercial manager. Andrew has also held a Qualified Supervisor-endorsed Contractor Licence (Builder), issued pursuant to the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), for more than 10 years.
Having decided to pursue a career in law, Andrew completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), which was conferred on him with First Class Honours. Andrew has practised built environment-related law – transaction and dispute work – his entire legal career. Before establishing Built Environment Legal, Andrew worked with a Sydney-based boutique Property Development and Construction law practice and specialist Property Development and Construction practices in the Sydney office of one of the largest law firms in the world.
